The Parochial Church Council for Thaxted
The PCC meets throughout the year to discuss and decide on a wide variety of matters over and above the day to day business of the church.
The PCC fundraises, is responsible for major repairs to the church, ensures that our family purse is paid and controls the day to day expenses of running this magnificent building.
The PCC are involved in ensuring the success of the May and Christmas fayres. They, through the Vicar make new appointments within the church and look in depth at Deanery proposals and internal applications for faculties. The PCC also involves itself with the work of its committees and their recommendations.
The PCC is appointed to work for the members of the congregation, the clergy and the good of all those who use this building. They ensure the smooth day to day running, giving their time and energy freely on your behalf.

Regular giving
It is very easy to plan your regular giving to Thaxted Parish Church and to do it tax efficiently so that the church will receive an extra 25% at no cost to you.
You can give by Standing Order making the payment every month or quarter or annually. This means that even if you are away your regular gift to the church will be made.
Alternatively you can give weekly using the Freewill Offering envelopes. The advantage of this scheme is that the amount you give can be varied as you see fit.
With both methods of giving, you can add a Gift Aid declaration so that your gift of, for example, £10 per week will be worth £650 a year with the tax recovered.
